The Leadership of Sebastian Christian Church Begins

With Jesus

The Bible clearly teaches that Jesus is the Head of the Church (Eph. 1:22–23, 4:15, 5:23). He is the One that we seek and follow as He continues the movement that He started 2,000 years ago through His perfect life, substitutionary death and victorious resurrection. After He ascended into heaven, He gave us His Spirit and established His Church.
It’s His church, and he’s our Senior Pastor. Underneath the guidance of Jesus are leaders who follow Jesus and encourage others to follow him as well. At SCC, our formal leadership structure involves elders, staff, community group leaders, and church members.

Todd Thomas

Lead Pastor

Todd is a native of Minerva, Ohio. He graduated from Cincinnati Christian University in 1993 and served 16 years as a student pastor in both Ohio and Florida. He married his loving wife, Cathy (who currently serves on the worship team playing piano) in 1995 and together they have three children: Kyler, Kyrra, and Kalley. He likes going to the beach and swimming; video games; good food and is an avid football fan (Go Browns!).

Todd began serving as lead pastor at SCC in 2010 and is looking forward to seeing the mission of God furthered in Indian River County!

Jim Adams

Creative Arts & Worship Pastor

Jim has been a resident of Indian River County for over 25 years. He was born in Syracuse, NY but spent his teenage years in Buchanan, VA.
He met his wife Camille in middle school and they have been married for over 25 years and are blessed with two beautiful daughters (Morgan & Emily). In his free time he enjoys quality time with his family (unless it includes Disney theme parks), watching sports (Go Eagles!), and he has an addiction to anything motorcycle related - prayers appreciated.

Steven Calabrese

Student Pastor & Office Administrator

Born and raised in New Jersey, Steven happily lives in Sebastian with his family. He and his wife Briana have five little kids (Felicity, Naomi, Micah, Joanna, and Ruthanne). Before coming to work here, Steven was a professional chef. While he enjoyed being a Chef, his heart lies with helping people hear the good news of Jesus Christ. Steven is currently working on his M.Div at Midwestern Theological Seminary. He loves playing tabletop board games, listens to many different podcasts daily, and is fairly addicted to Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.

Children's Director

Florida native. I grew up right here in Sebastian. I moved to Orlando for college, where I met my husband. We moved back to this beautiful town to raise our children (Alexis and Bently). Teaching is my passion. I am a also a teacher at Treasure Coast Elementary, where I teach fourth grade. Helping others learn is in my heart and there is nothing else I would rather do. To be able to apart of this children’s ministry and use my passion to teach about our Savior is such privilege.
